How to make you feel more secure in an insecure world.
We need to reach out for emotional support at this time.
Although your friends and family cannot control your emotions- they can affect how you feel about yourself.
You need to be reminded that you are loved
This is not being needy or weak - reach out to family and friends who encourage you and allow you to express yourself freely, without judgement. The internet keeps us connected with our loved ones and friends, no matter where they are.
Take care of your body and your mind- self care is not a selfish thing, but an essential thing.
Our stress and emotions are very contagious- (not a word we want to hear at this time!)
When we are feeling insecure, different parts of our body tense up- and that tension can be felt by others.
When you are feeling that overwhelm, that tension or stress- stand up and try to identify where the feeling is in your body.
Take a few deep breaths and try to send the breath to that area of your body.
Imagine doing so.
Stay focused with your breathing and imagine that as you exhale- all the tension in that part of your body is being released.
Now, with the 'isolation' imposed on us all- we have the time to just enjoy being. The chance to let go of all the inner noise and chatter in our heads. We are becoming- becoming more aware- more aware of bird song, of the beauty of spring, free from noise and pollution. We can enjoy just being.
And we can enjoy begin at one with ourselves. as we let go of our negative thought patterns.
We have this time- all of us, globally. We can use this time to practice
kindness and integrity- be the light that helps people out of the darkness
